Prepare for the festive celebrations with House of Townend & Business Springboard

Christmas will soon be upon us and at a time when the wine corks will be popping more than usual, we thought you could do with a bit of education so that you can show off some new found knowledge to business acquaintances, family and friends courtesy of Business Springboard!

For our next gathering, we are mixing up our event categories to deliver both an awareness campaign and a downtime event. We are delighted to invite you to an evening with House of Townend at their superb new premises in Melton.

Upon arrival John Charles Townend will welcome us with a bit of company history before indulging us with a bluffers’ guide to wine followed by a full-on tasting session!

Never again will you be embarrassed when trying to pick a good bottle for the in-laws (what’s wrong with Blue Nun!?) or when the wine waiter in a fancy restaurant requests that you try the wine before he serves, only for you to confirm that it is “truly superb” even though you haven’t got a clue! With the help of Business Springboard we’ll have you picking the perfect bottle in no time.

As we are a sensible bunch, because we are involving moderate alcohol consumption, we will also be running a coach from Gosschalks, via Dock Street entrance (rear), Hull City Centre for those requiring transport to and from this event. Whilst the remainder of the event is free of charge to registered guests, we will be charging £5 return for coach transport (payable as you board - have your fivers at the ready). Anybody booking Coach Travel who does not turn up will be invoiced for the cost of their ticket.

Event Itinerary:

5:00pm - Coaches depart Hull City Centre - Gosschalks, via Dock Street entrance (rear)
5:30pm - Guests to arrive for welcome drinks
6:00pm - Welcome from John Charles Townend
6:10pm - The “Bluffers' Guide” to wine
6:45pm - Wine tasting kicks into full swing with early festive networking and nibbles
8:30pm - Coaches depart for Hull City Centre (drop off will be various locations around the city centre to suit).
